“To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping.”
— Chinese Proverb
As a teacher of young people I find it hard to express upon them this simple truth.. To move mountains all it takes is one shovelful at a time. To master anything it takes ten years.
I heard an excellent drummer last week that was only 20 years old. He had been playing since he was five.
After over 25 years of teaching I feel I am a better teacher today then ten years ago. I hope so anyway. The key to the above statement is the last part “we must keep on stepping”.
What have you done for a long time that you feel you are good at? And if you had to do it over what would you have kept at that you didn’t? What would you like to start today that you could be good at ten years from now?
Tomorrow we can discuss FOCUS. Peace.
